Halong was the highlight of our journey. I researched about 10 boats before selecting Imperial.Great value. I were Imperial cruise in May 2011. What i like is it looks like all were made by timber, not steel. Even though the rooms were a bit small, but everything else was pretty good. Each room has comfortable beds and clean, bathroom is also large with shower, modern westen style toilets. Almost meals with many VNese style seafoods: clams cooked crab, shrimp fried lotus root, etc.We had a lot quality time on boat. Halong Bay itself is very beautiful with oddly shaped rock formations rising from the water, i think Halong Bay is such a lot nicer than imagine. The caves are also great, especially the Sung Sot Cave as we were surprised by its majestic. Sleeping on the boat and look at Halong bay in the morning which is most exciting for us. The tour guide named Trang, she was beautiful and knowledgeable about not only Halong bay but Vietnam in general. While we were kayaking, the guide was explaining a lot about the area. However some people on the boat complained about the high rate. Halong Bay is just magnificent and experiencing it with Imperial Cruises makes it sure to be an experience you will never forget.
